PhD Student at the University of Illinois at Chicago 

I am a second year PhD student at the University of Illinois at Chicago. My research focuses on developing machine learning and deep learning approaches to better understand the gut microbiome and its role in human health. I work with large-scale sequencing and clinical datasets to move beyond correlation and toward identifying biologically meaningful, testable mechanisms linking microbial activity to disease.
